Municipal Waste Incinerators

Municipal waste incinerators often must deal with HCl emission control. SOLVAir products effectively reduce HCl and also help remove SO2, SO3 and mercury (Hg). Additionally, some reduction in NOx may occur.

The products are sodium-based and have benefits for Electrostatic Precipitator (ESP) performance, which allow the addition of particulate loading without causing opacity excursions. For baghouse applications, the added retention time increases sorbent efficiency.

In industrial boilers, SOLVAir products effectively reduce SO2, SO3 and mercury (Hg) emissions.

Industrial boilers face increased regulations and often do not have the space to install large air pollution control systems. SOLVAir Select 200 trona and Select 300 sodium bicarbonate are used in dry injection processes where the products are fed directly into the flue gas stream.
